Reading

Before, I didn't like reading. I thought it was just a conversation except only one talker. Now, since my new teacher Miss Cordsen incorporates reading a lot, I've been doing much more. Reading is good for your imagination, trying to figure out what the characters and scene look like, and it's just amusing imagining someone finding the true meaning of something important, or learning something useful. I love books where you root for the characters and when they're struggling you are on the edge of tears. It's like reading opened up a whole new world to me, not only mentally, but I feel stronger on the outside too(especially when I get that tingly feeling after I finish a really good book.). If you feel the way I do or the complete opposite, please comment.

  1. I really like your blog post, Claude. It's a well-expressed introspection that really makes me feel like I'm right there in your thoughts. I look forward to reading more posts by you.

  2. Claudia, your writing voice is so much older than 10! Which book have you read recently where you were really pulling for the character to succeed?

  3. I think in Julia's Kitchen I kind of felt that way.

  4. What obstacles did Julia overcome? Did you learn anything from her struggles that you can apply to your own life?

  5. Well, her mo and sister die in a house fire and I think I learned to have faith in people even after hard times.
